DOWNLOADING QUESTIONS
- What program will I need to play my downloaded file?
- You will need Windows Media Player 10 or 11 to playback your downloaded file. (See System Requirements.) Additionally, you must have the Windows Media VC-1 Codec.
- Can these files be played on PC and MAC?
- These downloads are PC only for now, they require Windows Media Player.
- Can these files be played on portable media devices?
- No. Unfortunately not at this time. Hopefully this is something that will be available in the future.
- I have a dial-up internet connection. Can I download from your site?
- We do not recommend downloading these files through a dial-up connection as the files are very large.
- Is the file encrypted in some way that it can only be watched on the PC it’s downloaded to?
- It is encrypted with Windows Media 10 DRM. (It will play in "Plays for Sure" devices, i.e. Windows Media Player 10 and 11.) This means that you will only be able to play the file in a computer that is "associated" with your customer account. You designate which device(s) you want "associated" with your download. You will have a limit of 3 "associations".
- After downloading from the website, will I be able to burn it to a CD or a DVD or transfer it to another PC?
- You can copy the file, but it will only play on machines with Windows Media 10 or 11 that are "associated" with your customer account. You will have a limit of 3 “associations”.
- Is there a way we can verify a file was downloaded?
- Please download the test file on our support page. If you can play the test file, you should be able to enjoy all the other content as well.
- Is the download available automatically after payment? Is there a time frame?
- The download is available at checkout.
- What if something has been half downloaded and their computer crashes, can it be resumed?
- You can download the file at any time after you check out. If you have a connectivity problem, simply download the file again later.
- I receive this error message when trying to play my downloaded file: "An operation was attempted on a pin that doesn't exist in the DirectShow filter graph." What does it mean?
- This error message typically happens when the Windows Media VC-1 codec is not installed on your computer. To ensure the VC-1 codec is installed and working properly, please download the sample file located at the top of this page.
